Hey survivors! 🤍 Have you ever felt that nervous excitement when Alliance Showdown pops up right after State vs State? I know I do! Every month, this event puts our alliance teamwork to the ultimate test. But honestly, it’s not just about brute force—it’s about smart planning and knowing when to push hard and when to save resources. Let me walk you through everything you need to know to come out on top in 2026.

How to even participate?
First things first: only alliances ranked in the top 20 on the Alliance Power Leaderboard before the event starts can join. And here’s the catch—you must be in that alliance before matchmaking locks in, which is Sunday 23:00 UTC. No last-minute hopping! ⏰
What if you accidentally leave mid-event? Don’t panic. If you return to the same alliance you started with, you’ll keep earning your personal points and rewards. But step into a different alliance and you’re frozen—no points, no rewards. So stay loyal, it’s worth it.
Event schedule & the 13-point race
Alliance Showdown repeats roughly once a month, always the week after SVS. It spans 7 days, but the structure is clever:
-
Day 1 to Day 5 each last 24 hours.
-
Day 6 & 7 are combined into one 36-hour final stage ending on Sunday 12:00 UTC.
Each day your alliance battles another alliance head-to-head. The total daily score decides who wins that day’s point. There are 13 available points; to win the whole event you need at least 7 points. Winning the first four days means you can relax later—but are you willing to bet on that?
The 7 stages: what to score and where
Every stage has its own scoring activities and reward thresholds. Let me break them down so you can plan your item usage. I always save Chief Gear and Charm upgrades for specific days!
Day 1 – Building & Research Day 🏗️
Score comes from construction, research, and basic upgrades. Personal milestone highlights:
-
100 pts → Enhancement XP Components & secured rss
-
87,500 pts → 3,500 Gems + Truck Voucher + meat/wood
-
125,000 pts → 15 Fire Crystals + Truck Voucher + coal/iron

Day 2 – Hero Development Day 🦸
Focus on hero XP, skill upgrades, hero shards. Key reward at 125,000 pts: 5 Mythic General Hero Shard. Who doesn’t love that?
Day 3 – Chief Charm & Design Day 💎
At 125k pts you bag 15 Charm Design. Perfect for those who hoard charm materials like me.
Day 4 – Troop Training & Promotion Day ⚔️
Points from training troops (and promotion based on level difference). 125k gives 15 Charm Guide. Beware: training speedups count here, but not gathering resources.
Day 5 – Speedup Day ⏩
Using speedups for construction, research, and training. The top personal threshold jumps to 187,500 pts and rewards 15 Design Plans. This is where heavy spenders shine. But I ask myself: is it worth burning all speedups just for one day? Sometimes losing a day is smarter than overextending.
Day 6 & 7 (36h) – The All-in Finale 🔥
Almost all activities from previous days count except gathering and troop training (per troop points, but speedups still work). 187,500 pts yields 8 Essence Stones. This stage is a trap if you wait too long—your opponent can dump everything minutes before reset. I’ve seen alliances snatch victory from jaws of defeat.
Personal vs Alliance rewards – what’s in it for you?
Rewards are layered: Personal Milestones, Daily Win/Lose rewards, Star Rewards, and Ranking Rewards. Since the March 3, 2025 update, Alliance Tokens have been added across the board. 🪙
Daily team rewards:
-
Winning: 2 Gold Keys, 2,000 Life Essence, 30,000 Alliance Token, speedups and rss.
-
Losing/Drawing: exactly half of everything—still decent! It won’t ruin your progress.

Star Rating – the hidden currency
Your alliance has a Star Rating that goes up by 1 if you win the entire event and down by 1 if you lose. Draws likely keep it unchanged (official info is fuzzy, but that’s my experience). Why should you care? Because your alliance’s Star Rating directly impacts the Ranking Rewards table—higher stars mean juicier loot. Lose too many stars and next Showdown your rewards will shrink. Ouch.

But here’s the realistic take: the event is pretty forgiving. Even if your alliance loses, you still get solid personal daily rewards just by hitting your own thresholds. If your alliance can’t win, don’t drain the treasury—save those items for SVS or future mobilizations. Moderation is a valid strategy.
Ranking Rewards & the minimum effort
To be eligible for ranking rewards, you need at least 300,000 personal points during the whole event. Plus, since the December 11, 2024 patch, the alliance must accumulate a total of 20,000,000 points across all members. That means around 23 players completing the bare minimum daily (roughly 875k each). So if you’re in a small or casual alliance, you might miss out—make sure everyone pulls their weight!
Ranking rewards depend on:
-
Your personal score within the alliance
-
Alliance Star Rating (1-2, 3-5, 6-9, 10+)
-
Win or lose status
Top rankers in a 10+ star winning alliance get seriously stacked prizes.
Exclusive decorations: Tundra Truck & Giant Horn
Both decorations can be upgraded to level 10 using 58 tokens each (Tundra Trucks and Giant Horns). They look stunning on Daybreak Island and announce to visitors: “We dominate Alliance Showdown.” 🚛 🐂
My best tips after dozens of Showdowns
-
Communicate: Decide as an alliance which days you target. I’ve seen teams throw all resources at Day 2 and 5, and let others slide.
-
Don’t fear losing a day: you only need 7 points. Winning the first 4 is ideal, but sometimes conceding a day saves more items than the rewards you’d gain.
-
Beware the final stage: if you rely on it, your enemy can outscore you in 5 minutes because it combines everything except troop training points.
-
Personal goals first: Even if losing, aim for that 125k or 187.5k personal milestone. The gems, shards, and designs are worth it.
-
Star rating matters long-term: It’s not just about this week; protect your star for future events.

So, is Alliance Showdown stressful? A little. But it’s also one of the most rewarding cooperative events in Whiteout Survival in 2026. Play smart, hoard those speedups, and may your alliance always keep its star rating shining! 🌟
